I know I know....

It's been a long time since I touched base with you. Been busy being a kid, and reigning terror on my parents' sleeping habits. My folks have been doing better in listening to me and responding to my every whim... They think they're training me, but it's more like the other way around.

Like when I tilt my head to the right and poke out my lips and raise my legs in the air, that means I went to brown-town. If I suck on my fingers, well that obviously means I need food... quickly! An all-out shreik of terror...that means the diaper is flooded and needs to be changed. Slowly but surely, they're getting it.

Mom and Dad have been busy perfecting the swaddling technique they learned on http://www.thehappiestbaby.com. It seems to be working... See?

Yeah I've been doing a lot of that... And this:

Mom and Dad have been good at going out and enjoying each other. Here they are last night at The Melting Pot celebrating Dad's birthday.

Thats it for now. Talk to you later!

What a week!

Approaching my first week as a father and slowly coming to realize that this little bundle of a blessing is not just some cute baby that we just fell in love with who we just happen to be taking care of. This is actually OUR child. WOW!

I'm sure Trey told you about his first day at home. And what a day that was. It seemed like everything was all good at the hospital. Trey behaving and "playing nice" in front of all the nurses and doctors and visitors coming in and out of the room. But it seemed like as soon as we crossed the threshold of our front door, all hell broke loose.

Its kinda tough dealing with a crying baby when you don't know what's causing him pain or discomfort. Talking to my boys with kids have helped a lot though. One funny (well not so funny.... wait, yes it is.) thing about my son already is that he's got the crazy legs... meaning whenever we change him he'll start kicking his feet like crazy. I mean it's a challenge holding the legs together with one hand while raising him up to change the diaper with the other. But that's not THE funny part. He just got circumsized a few days ago so his parts are sore and tender. Every now and then when he's being changed, one of those lil legs will slip out of my hand and start kicking... then the heel of one of his feet will inadvertently make contact with the sore spot. That's when the screaming elevates to a whole new level. The funny thing is he has NO idea he's doing this to himself... Like I said, Funny, but not really, but funny. Not to worry family, he's a tough little kid. He's doing well. I just gotta work on my diaper-changing technique... (or put more padding down there).

Nana Renee has arrived!

I have a Grandmommy that came all the way from Atlanta to see me. She's going to be staying with us for a while, helping mommy and daddy. Life is sweet!

Starting the day off right!

Not only is my Nana from Atlanta coming, but I have family from Shreveport coming to see me too! Can it get much better?

Here's Shayln, Christopher, and my Auntie Sharon

Here's my Great Aunt Madea too!

Family fun...

Easter Sunday.

What a busy day that was... sorry for not updating the blog but u know... my calendar is quite full these days... Between eating, sleeping, and soiling diapers in-between, I hardly get a chance to update this blog. Don't charge it to my heart, charge it to the madness.

Easter Sunday was full of surprises. I got to fulfill my lifelong dream of being the Easter Bunny (check that off my list of accomplishments), Family came to pay me a visit and our dear Mavs lost to the New Orleans Hornets... Hey 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Here's my Grandpa...Elliott Sr. Is he rocking me to sleep or the other way around?

My Auntie Nellie (Janell) and Uncle Robert. They'll be giving me a playmate soon... Yay, a cousin I can play with. Look out world!

Here's my Uncle Ross. He's Smooth... Mike Lowry Smooth.

My Uncle Russell is happy that he's no longer the baby. You held that title proudly for 16 years Unc... Now its my time to shine!

Uncle Bobby getting his practice in.

My Uncle John and Aunt Mahogany. They just got married! YES! Another sweet Aunt to spoil her favorite nephew!

Here's my Grandmommy Janice. I hear she's gonna let me do whatever I want... (but don't tell her I said that....k?)

...and last but not least, All three Elliotts under the same roof.
